Two set of French Doors open onto a spacious deck, pool, and sprawling gardens. Plants thrive in the Florida climate, creating a private retreat that’s enjoyable year-round.

A ramshackle garage became a great-looking potting shed.

A nap on this ship-shaped daybed, inspired by a Chinese boat, may just feel like a journey across the ocean. It turns a simple backyard corner into a perfect lounging spot.

Ornamental planting beds and large potted plant arrangements soften this hardscaped area while lending it some needed color.

Depending on the time of day, this patio and sitting area get both shade and brilliant sunlight.

This rooftop garden is constantly exposed to sun, so a weather-proof Adirondack chair is the best choice for seating.

To keep the space from looking too tame, stylist Gena Sigala relied on accessories, also in neutral, but full of character and quirks. Old textiles from a flea market were made into slipcovers for the cushions of a favorite daybed moved outside.
